Chatting with Colleagues: Trick or Treat? AI in the Archives

In celebration of Electronic Records Day, October’s Chatting with Colleagues will explore the topics and ideas presented at the 2026 Electronic Records Day Webinar. We invite state and territorial archivists to attend this not recorded, informal, AI free meeting session to discuss a forthcoming SERI white paper on AI in the archives, your experiences responding to patron’s use of AI, and the wider landscape of artificial intelligence including its impacts on state and territorial archives. We recognize that AI is a hot topic (in many senses) and hope to explore the opportunities as well as the obstacles it presents. We hope you can join us on October 14^th ready to share your questions, experiences, and opinions.
